CounterPoint SQL V8.3.5 Release Notes
Ship-from location by document or line (Enterprise)
You can now allow authorized users to specify the ship-from location for each Point of Sale document (i.e., ticket, order, or layaway), or for each individual line, in Ticket Entry and Touchscreen Ticket Entry. You can also configure CounterPoint to automatically prompt the user to enter a Ship-from location for each new document or line.
The ship-from location determines the location at which inventory levels are reduced and, depending on your configuration, can determine item pricing. This feature offers you the ability to determine the ship-from location for each document and line as you enter them, rather than simply using your store’s Default ship-from location.
To authorize users to enter a ship-from location for each Point of Sale document and line, or to override the store’s Default ship-from location, select the Change ship-from location check box on the Tickets tab of the Point of Sale Security Codes window (Setup / Point of Sale / Security Codes).
Select the Allow document entry check box under the Default ship-from location on the Main tab of the Stores window (Setup / Point of Sale / Stores) to allow authorized users to specify a ship-from location for each Point of Sale document.
To allow authorized users to specify a ship- from location for each line on a Point of Sale document, select the Allow line entry check box.
To automatically prompt all users to enter a ship- from location for each Point of Sale document and each line, select the Prompt for document entry and Prompt for line entry check boxes.
If you select the Prompt for document entry check box, you do not have to specify a Default ship-from location.
