CounterPoint SQL V8.3.5 Release Notes
Releasing all or none of a deposit
In this version, the Order Release and Layaway Release dialogs that appear when you release an order or layaway include buttons that allow you to release all or none of the order’s available deposit, miscellaneous charge, and tax amounts. This feature streamlines the release process by allowing the user to automatically set these values, rather than requiring the user to enter them manually.
From the Order Release or Layaway Release dialog, click the Zero button to set each Release value to 0.00.
Click the Defaults button to set each Release field to its default value for the release ticket. The default Release values are proportional to the Subtotal for the items you are releasing.
Click the Maximum button to set each Release value to match the corresponding Available amount.
Clicking these buttons will update the Tax values only if a tax override was performed on the order you are releasing.
This feature was released in a V8.3.4 Service Pack.
Removal of the ability to save order values for later release
Previously, Ticket Entry and Touchscreen Ticket Entry allowed you to save selected lines, release quantities, deposit allocations, and miscellaneous charges on an order or layaway for later release.
In this version, this capability has been removed from Point of Sale. More complete order-processing features will be provided with the Advanced Orders Option, which is scheduled for V8.3.6.
