CounterPoint SQL V8.3.5 Release Notes
Hold and recall actions when editing orders
You can now perform a Hold and recall action, either automatically or manually, while editing lines on an order or layaway in Ticket Entry or Touchscreen Ticket Entry. This feature allows you to implement user-defined SQL triggers or stored procedures to apply special validation rules, price or tax calculations, or other custom functions to existing orders. In previous versions, this feature was available only for tickets.
To allow users to manually perform a Hold and recall action, you must define it as custom toolbar button in Ticket Entry or as a button in Touchscreen Ticket Entry.
To configure CounterPoint to automatically perform a Hold and recall action each time a user edits a line on an order or layaway, select the Automatic for line change check box on the Tickets-3 tab of the Stores window (Setup / Point of Sale / Stores).
Depending on the speed of your system and the number of lines on each Point of Sale document, performing a Hold and recall action each time a line is updated could result in unacceptably slow performance.
