Selling substitute items for items with insufficient quantity
You can now view and select substitute items for any item for which there is insufficient quantity in Ticket Entry and Touchscreen Ticket Entry.
When you add an item for which there is insufficient quantity to a ticket, a dialog appears, allowing you to override the quantity, place the item on order, or look up a valid substitute item.
Click the Substitutes button to display the Substitute Item LookUp window.
The Subtitute Item LookUp window displays items that have been defined as valid substitutes for the out-of-stock item.
This window also indicates whether the out-of-stock item is available at other locations.
To add a substitute item to the ticket in place of the out-of-stock item, select the substitute item and click OK.
If you are allowed to change the Ship-from location for individual lines, you can select a substitute item from a location other than your current location. Refer to Ship-from location by document or line (Enterprise) on page 23 for more information about allowing users to change a line’s Ship-from location.
