Historical Valuation report (Enterprise)
This version includes the HISTORICAL VALUATION report, which allows you to review the historical value of your inventory as of a particular date. For each item, the HISTORICAL VALUATION report indicates the Price-1 and Regular price values, as well as the corresponding markup percentages, as of the Valuation date you specify.
This report also allows you to review inventory information as of the specified date, including the on-hand Quantity, estimated Cost, and total Retail value for each item, as well as the percentage to total ratios for these values.
To generate the HISTORICAL VALUATION report, select Inventory / Reports / Historical Valuation, and then define the parameters you want to use for the report.
Select the Group option from the Analyze by field to analyze your inventory at the group level, using one of the available groups (Category, Primary vendor, and so forth). The Group option allows you to generate the HISTORICAL VALUATION report without including item- level detail.
Select the Item option from the Analyze by field to include item-level detail on the HISTORICAL VALUATION report. When you select this option, additional settings become available on the Parameters tab, allowing you to control the grouping and subtotaling of the reported items.
Select the appropriate Group by option to specify how you want to organize the items on the HISTORICAL VALUATION report, or select (None) if you don’t want to generate groups or subtotals for the report.
Use the first Print field to filter the items that are considered for the report. Select All to consider all of your items, or select Top or Bottom and specify the number of items to consider (e.g., Top 50 or Bottom 25).
Use the second Print field to focus the report on the strongest or weakest products in each group. Select All to include all items in each group on the report, or select Top or Bottom and specify the number of items in each group to include. For example, you could choose to include only the Top 10 items in each group.
The remaining settings of the Parameters tab allow you to specify the Locations for which you want to generate the report, whether you want to include a pie chart on the report, the rounding methods you want to use, and so forth.
You can use the Item and Inventory tabs to specify additional criteria to filter the items and locations that appear on the HISTORICAL VALUATION report.
