CounterPoint SQL V8.3.5 Release Notes
Import inventory adjustments
You can now import inventory adjustment transactions into CounterPoint from a Comma- Separated Value (.csv) file. This feature allows merchants to count merchandise using a handheld data terminal, and then import those counts to adjust inventory levels for the corresponding items.
To begin importing inventory adjustments, select Inventory / Adjustments / Enter to display the Inventory Adjustments Enter window.
Click the Import button to display the Import Adjustments dialog.
The Import Adjustments dialog allows you to define the necessary import parameters— including the name of the import file and the fields that contain the Item number, Quantity, and Cost values—and to start the import process.
In the File name field, enter the path and name of the .csv file that contains the inventory adjustments to import, or click
button to browse to the file.
Enter or look up the Location for which you want to import inventory adjustments, and then specify a Transaction date for the resulting adjustment transactions.
Specify the Account to which you want to post the adjustment transactions, or select the From account code check box to post each transaction to the account specified in the account code assigned to the corresponding item.
You can also specify a Document # and Reference text to use for all imported adjustments.
If you do not enter the path of the import file in the File name field, CounterPoint attempts to locate the specified file in the \Import subdirectory of your company directory (e.g., C:\CounterPoint\MyCompany\Import).
