VeriFone Omni 7000 and 7100 signature capture (Enterprise)
CounterPoint now supports the signature capture capability of the VeriFone Omni 7000 and 7100 payment terminals. This feature allows you to obtain customer signatures electronically for credit card, A/R charge, and other transactions that require signature verification.
To configure an Omni 7000 or 7100 payment terminal as a signature capture device, follow these steps:
Select Setup / Point of Sale / Devices, click the Configure button on the Signature capture row, and then click the Load device button.
Select the Verifone.Omni7000.SigCapDevice.xml or Verifone.Omni7100.SigCapDevice.xml file, depending on which payment terminal you have, and then click Open.
If this message appears, click Yes to proceed.
Click the Config GOPOS button to display the GOPOS Signature Capture window.
Select the Verifone Omni 7000 series option or the Verifone Omni 7100 series option from the Devices list, depending on which payment terminal you have.
Select the Port number of the serial port to which your VeriFone payment terminal is connected, and then click OK.
Click OK to close the Signature Capture dialog.
Click Close to save your device settings and close the Devices window.
To use an Omni 7000 or 7100 payment terminal with CounterPoint, you must first load the appropriate version of the VeriFone Multi-Pay application, which you can download from the CounterPoint website at www.counterpointpos.com/support/software cpsql.htm.
You must be a registered CSS subscriber to download the Multi-Pay application.
