GOPOS support for Epson TM-H6000 MICR devices

CounterPoint’s GOPOS drivers now include integrated support for MICR devices that are built in to Epson TM-H6000 series multifunction printers. This feature means you no longer have to install the manufacturer’s OPOS driver to use an Epson TM-H6000 MICR.

To configure your Epson TM-H6000 MICR to use CounterPoint’s GOPOS driver, load the Epson.TM-H6000.MICR.xml file in Setup / Point of Sale / Devices by following these steps:

1. Select Setup / Point of Sale / Devices, click the Configure button on the MICR row, and then click the Load device button.

2.

Select the Epson.TM-H6000.MICR.xml file, and then click Open. If this message appears, click Yes to proceed.

  • 3.

Click the Config GOPOS button to display the GOPOS MICR window.

  • 4.

Select the Epson TM series option from the Devices list.

  • 5.

Select the appropriate Format for your check processor.

  • 6.

Select the Port type and Port number of the port to which your Epson TM-H6000 is connected, and then click OK.

  • 7.

Click OK to close the MICR dialog.

  • 8.

Click Close to save your device settings and close the Devices window.

Multi-track keyboard wedge MSR support

Certain keyboard wedge MSR devices—including the MSR that is built in to Radiant’s POS terminals—read track 1 and track 2 of swiped cards simultaneously. Previously, CounterPoint did not support these devices, as it could not accept data from multiple tracks. CounterPoint now supports multi-track keyboard wedge MSR devices.

Follow these steps to configure CounterPoint to recognize data from a multi-track keyboard wedge MSR:

  • 1.

Select Setup / Point of Sale / Devices, click the Configure button on the MSR row, and then click the Load device button.

  • 2.

Select the Track1Keyboard (Wedge).MSR.xml file or the Track2Keyboard (Wedge).MSR.xml file, depending on which track you want to read, and then click Open.

NOTE:

If you are processing debit cards, you MUST configure your MSR to read track 2 by selecting the Track2Keyboard (Wedge).MSR.xml file.

  • 3.

Click OK to close the MSR dialog.

  • 4.

Click Close to save your device settings and close the Devices window.
