Tourism Honors Academy Summer Program – this is an amazing opportunity for students that are rising seniors. During the summer between junior and senior years students will have the opportunity to live in a college dormitory for ten says while immersed in activities exposing the student to executives and CEO’s of Louisville’s most engaging tourist attractions and places of interest. Students will also engage in several over night trips during their senior year and receive free ACT/SAT Test Preparation classes. Students are selected competitively. Beechmont Woman’s Club Scholarship – this is a $1,000 scholarship opportunity to high school seniors attending a Kentucky college and majoring in an academic area or in music. Students must live in the following zip code areas: 40208, 40209, 40214, or 40215. Students must demonstrate proof of extracurricular activities, special interests, clubs, sports, church activities, jobs, or volunteer work. You will also be asked to write a short paragraph describing yourself. The committee will also examine your GPA, rank, academic rigor, ACT scores, but there is no set minimum on any of these.
