Clemson University Summer Science, Engineering, and Architecture Enrichment Program – this is an opportunity to participate in a one-week summer enrichment program at Clemson University taking such courses as Advanced DNA Sequencing and DNA Bioinformatic Analysis of Biodiversity and Advanced Computational Science Using C Bioengineering. Jefferson County Assistant Principals Association Scholarship – this is a $500 scholarship available to high school seniors majoring in education in college and not receiving full reimbursement for tuition, books, fees, etc. The student must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 and be a full time student in a Jefferson County School. Fill out the application located in the college career room and write a 500 word essay on why you want to major in education and provide two recommendations from academic references. Louisville Metro Housing Authority Scholarship – this is a $1500 per year scholarship for outstanding high school seniors that live in public housing, Louisville Metro Housing Authority Properties, or have Section 8 Vouchers. Smith Scholarship – this is a $250 book scholarship to attend the Kentucky State University for African American Males who demonstrate financial need and exemplify Mr. Smith’s commitment to higher education. Princeton University Lewis Center for the Arts Poetry and Ten Minute Play Competitions – this is an opportunity for high school juniors to earn $500 and a chance to attend Princeton University. Up to 3 poems or one ten-minute play may be submitted and judged by faculty in the Princeton University Creative Writing or Theater Faculty. Information is available in the College Career Room.
