The following summary statements and conclusions were derived from the analysis:

Twenty-four (77 percent) of the job descriptions are relatively current, having been developed or revised within the past three years.

The “qualifications” criterion was determined by the auditors to be the strongest component of the collective job descriptions. All of the job descriptions had a clearly written list of “essential functions” as well as a summary statement of the assignment.

Only one of the job description reviewed by the auditors received an adequate rating or above on the “chain of command” criterion. Although virtually all of the reviewed job descriptions included the “reports to” directional chain of command, only one job description (director of
