Seventh Grade Clover Park School District

As noted in Exhibit 4.2.6:

  • The average reading performance for 7th grade students ranged from 29.7 percent meeting the state standard (1998) to 31.8 percent meeting the standard (1999).

  • The average writing performance for 7th grade students ranged from 26 percent meeting the state standard (1998) to 33.1 percent meeting the standard (2000).

  • The average listening performance for 7th grade students ranged from 70.1 percent meeting the state standard (2000) to 85 percent meeting the standard (1999).

  • The average mathematics performance for 7th grade students ranged from 13.3 percent meeting the state standard (1998) to 16.7 percent meeting the standard (2000).

  • For each year, the percentage of Clover Park 7th grade students meeting the state standard in reading, writing, listening, and mathematics was below the state average.

  • The performance trend varied for reading and listening over the three years for which data were available.

  • The performance trend for writing and mathematics improved over the three years for which data were available.

Exhibit 4.2.7 summarizes the percentage of 10th grade students meeting the state standard for Clover Park School District compared with the State of Washington from 1999 through 2000.
