DAVID L. NOONAN Principal – Capital Group
David L. Noonan currently heads Newmark Knight Frank Capital Group’s team in the Tri-state area. He has represented the Whitehall Fund, G.E. Capital, Metropolitan Life, MONY, UBS, CalPERS, Lennar Partners and John Hancock in the disposition of office property.
In addition, Mr. Noonan performs consulting work for Verizon, the MTA and others, focusing on maximizing development values while enhancing operations. In 2008, he was awarded REBNY’s Robert T. Lawrence Award for the “Most Ingenious Sale Transaction”.
Before joining Newmark Knight Frank, Mr. Noonan practiced law at two Manhattan law firms for five years, where his litigation practice included real estate and bankruptcy matters.
Mr. Noonan holds a B.A. from Dartmouth College and a J.D. from New York University School of Law.
KENNETH L. ZAKIN Senior Managing Director – Capital Group
Mr. Zakin possesses more than 20 years of experience in investment sales, real estate restructuring and financial services, including IRC §1031 like-kind Exchange transactions.
Prior to joining Newmark Knight Frank, Mr. Zakin spent six years with Insignia/ESG. Mr. Zakin has completed transactions valued at over several billion dollars, involving portfolio and individual credit net lease sales, retail condominiums, office buildings, loan sales and property level financings.
Previously, Mr. Zakin served as senior vice president at Lehman Brothers for 12 years in the Capital Preservation & Restructuring Group, where he was responsible for the restructuring and sale of commercial properties throughout the United States. He was also involved in the initial organization of Lehman Brothers’ mortgage securitization program. Mr. Zakin has worked as a practicing real estate attorney and served as a founding director of Lexington Realty Trust.
Mr. Zakin is a graduate of Syracuse University and St. John’s University School of Law.
