A written complaint with the Bureau of Special Education alleging that the school district has violated a child’s right to special education services
What if a due process hearing was also requested?
A complaint must be filed within one year of the time it is believed that the school district failed to follow the law.
A written report of findings, conclusions, corrective action and recommendations, if appropriate, will be mailed within 60 calendar days of receipt.
