Treasurer’s Report for year ending 31st October 2009
TREASURER’S REPORT TO BE PRESENTED AT THE AGM TO BE HELD ON 19TH FEBRUARY 2010
I have completed my first year as Treasurer and I am presenting my Report in that capacity to the Annual General Meeting. I have prepared the Society’s Accounts for the year ended 31st October 2009. The figures for this year with comparatives for the previous year are represented by a Receipts and Payments Account copied herewith. With reference to these accounts, in accordance with statutory provisions monitored by the Office of Scottish Charities Regulator, an Independent Examiner’s Report is to be prepared by Mr J Somerville.
I am pleased that a surplus has been made this year and this has allowed us to build back some of the reserves depleted in recent years.
I wish to thank all those who provided assistance to myself as Treasurer, both in helping me settle into the job and particularly those involved in the run up to and actual day of the show.
I look forward to another year as Treasurer and hope that by carefully monitoring both income and expenditure, we can continue to provide the first class day out that everyone expects at Nairn Show.
