Progressive Expands with Advance continued from cover

customer service responsibilities to surrounding offices while they went to work, leaving business undisturbed.

“Louis and the Advance team did a great job breaking down our offices and preparing them for relocation. They color- coded everything and had no problem identifying what went where. Everyone on location was organized and kept on the same page,” said Judy Schuster.

Prior to this expansion project, Progressive had limited presence in New Jersey. Jim and the Advance team set up two new offices in New Jersey, one in Parsippany and the other in Iselin. In addition to the new offices, Advance assisted Progres- sive in expanding its offices in Yonkers, Westchester and three more on Long Island. These seven relocation projects took place

with peripheral office equipment, refrigerators and mailing ma- chines. In addition to the office kit, Advance received modular furniture from Progressive’s Cleveland distribution center. Advance professionals assembled the furniture and office kit and, when the location was ready, moved everything in.

For the offices that were being expanded, of which there were five, an additional step was to disassemble the old furniture and office equipment and send it back to Cleveland for refurbishing.

“The Advance team did a wonderful job for Progres- sive. Their coordination and professionalism was unmatched. In a large move, specifics are always changing as unexpected speed bumps arise. Jim and Louis never flinched as our

For each new office opened, Advance received an office kit from Progressive with a predetermined group of items includ- ing everything except furniture and computers. The kits came

Advance Relocates Moet Hennessy USA

USA was a massive project. The move included a tremendous amount of advertising specialty items, a huge cache of liquor inventory with glassware, and an extensive array of peripheral office equipment.

“The biggest challenge, other than the complexity of a major office relocation, was the specialized packing, transportation and securi- ty of Moet Hennessey’s extensive high-end liquor inventory. Managing the liquor inventory alone was a compilation of a hundred smaller moves because each case was specialized and separated according to category and brand,” said Frank Colon. He went on to say, “The success of this project was based on the ability of our team to work with all of the sepa- rate entities of Moet Hennessey. Our organization and attention to detail were crucial to the completion of this project.”

“This relocation represents a new direction for our company. With the corporate merger, we wanted to relocate in one location and consolidate our offices. We were able to go from working on two floors to one, which significantly cut our operating costs. We went from a stan- dard New York office building and environment, to a more transparent office culture of open, lofty space, in the trendy MPD section of Man- hattan,” said Barbara Partridge, Facilities Manager. She went on to say, “This was a significant relocation, and we feel that Rob and his team did an outstanding job catering to our needs. I have worked with Rob in the past and knew just what to expect. With Rob, there is never a problem or challenge, just a forward-moving solution, and that’s why Advance is the best at what it does.”

The bulk of the relocation took place over a single weekend from Friday night to Sunday night. The primary weekend move was preceded by a week of packing, preparation and staging of inventory and pre-moving of technology infrastructure. The entire move was com- pleted in one working week and was followed with post-move services to ensure LVMH settled in to their new home properly.
