TREEHOUSE OUT OF SCHOOL CLUB

The Oak Treehouse is working within a partnership with St Botolphs Newcroft, Oxley, Belton and St Winefrides Primary Schools to provide high quality, affordable and accessible childcare for parents who have childcare needs due to work, training or other commitments; Parents who would like to enter work or training but have difficulty in doing so due to a lack of childcare and for parents who would like their children to have opportunities to play and socialise in a safe environment out of school hours. Working towards the Government strategy of “Wrap-Around Care” by 2010.

We Cater for children aged 4 year—12 years. Children aged between 4 -5/6 will stay for some of the time within the unit. Older children will be over at the Treehouse within the High school but children will mix to carry out certain activities

Children are taken to and collected from the school by various means. Oxley and Belton School children will be bused to the unit on Hind Leys Campus and children from Newcroft and St Botolphs will use a walking bus to encourage a healthy lifestyle

Some of the Activities on offer will be

Arts and Crafts

Ball Games—Football Basket Ball

Karaoke

Rounders Cooking

Board Games

Multi Sports

Computers

Foot ball table/Air Hockey

Children will be offered a snack for tea, sandwiches, Wraps, fruit, and cakes/ biscuits—this is just a snack and is optional. All children should be offered a meal once they return to their home. We are looking into provide a hot snack but this will depend on the number of children attending the After school club.
