Observations.

% of women demanding VCT at outreach sites is more than that at static sites (44% at outreach sites and 30% at static sites). This is, possibly, because more women than men frequent health institutions for health care either for themselves or for their children.

16% of clients (as compared to 8% at static site) are illiterate as observed in Blantyre statistical report. This is the cause of difference in duration of counseling process. Counselors in Blantyre observe that it takes a longer time to go through the process with outreach clients than with static site clients. Clients at outreach sites are not as open as those at static sites.

Counseling  and testing is done by one/same counselor in the same room at outreach sites. This saves waiting time, which is then used for continuation of preventive counseling. This arrangement reinforces confidentiality.

Lower number of  people come for couple counseling at outreach sites as compared to static sites.
