Fr. Corey’s Comments

In the area of maintenance and repair, the entry doors of the Church need some work.  Because of the temperature and day to day living the Church doors have gaps in them letting in cold and hot air (and vice-versa), some of them are impossible to close or lock, gouges have been taken out of them (don’t ask me how), the door handles have been damaged and they make a whole bunch of noise when they close.(Ask anyone whom comes to Mass late).  We are having work done so that we can remedy most of these problems as inexpensively as possible.  When work is complete, we shall take care of the cosmetic aspect that is in need.  I shall keep you updated.

Bob ‘the Gold Man’, made a visit this week and brought a check for $4,500.00 from the first week of June’s “Gold Rush”.  We are most grateful to all those who brought in gold.  I hope you were happy with the amount of monies that you collected.

We are still not at our goal for the Annual Bishop’s Appeal.  As Bishop Lori has said, “Through your generosity, the Diocese of Bridgeport brings hope to the people of Fairfield County in sharing Jesus’ message of redeeming love.  I have looked at those who would receive benefit from the Appeal.  Here it is:
