Supply Chain for the 21st Century (SC21) is an aerospace supply chain cost reduction initiative supported by the major aerospace OEMs and Sub-contractors
Reducing costs through waste elimination has been my focus for many years and I hope to share my experiences with you today
Since 2002 I have been Lean Manufacturing / Continuous Improvement Manager with the West of England Aerospace Forum, having left Airbus to concentrate on developing the S.W. region.
Working closely with the SBAC I have played a major part in developing the SC21 (Supply Chain for the 21st Century) programme. I have gained a broad background with 20 years of experience in Aerospace, Defence and Automotive sectors, focusing on supply chain management and development. Working partnerships in the south west region have included Airbus, AgustaWestland’s, BAE Systems, and Thales & Ultra at all levels.
In addition, I gained experience of supply chains globally during my time with the Airbus Supplier Development Team. This included establishing a cluster of suppliers in America and playing a key role in developing the GKN facility in Alabama, focusing on wing set delivery.
