The monitored concentrations indicate that none of the roadside locations recorded an annual mean concentration above the annual mean AQO of 40 µg/m3 in 2002. Estimated annual means in 2005 and 2010 are not expected to exceed the AQO criteria.
National Monitoring Data
Data from the UK AURN site of Reading has been collated. The Reading site is located approximately 38 km east of Newbury and is classified as urban background. The Reading site
has been chosen to reflect the concentrations potentially experienced within West Berkshire. Concentrations of NOx and NO2 monitored during concentrations estimated using Defra guidance, are shown in Table 8.5.
