Land and Agricultural Development Bank of South [hereinafter referred to as “Land Bank”] is an Agricultural Development Financial Institution that supports sustainable economic growth through the provision of a variety of financial products in South Africa. Land Bank Head Office is situated in Pretoria, 192 Visagie Street.
The Bank has three main operating divisions
Retail banking – consists of 28 Branches across the country. This division is involved in lending to the individual farmer through various loans on long, medium and short-term basis.
Wholesale Finance – Lending to big co-ops. Lending is on long-term and short-term.
SAVVEM – an insurance company that offers bond cover in the event of death on mortgage loans. The main asset are investments that managed by Portfolio managers.
Land Bank funds its lending activities through issuing it’s own paper on the capital and money markets.
You are required to:
Supply, configure, install and maintain the Storage Area Network (SAN) as well as offer training / skills transfer to designated Land Bank staff.
The Land Bank has embarked on a project to consolidate all its data currently residing all over the
branches file servers.
The Bank’s objective is to have a central data repository and backup solution. The Storage Area
Network (SAN) solution required must be compatible with HP Risk / Intel & Dell file servers as the bank
is currently standardized on these hardware platforms.
The SAN solution will provide a single solution as far as storage and backup for both the new banking
solution as well as the new hardware being deployed at the branches.
