      Support managers IAS Executive Management Board in supporting an effective performance review process

  • policy development and documentation;

        Input on the Human Resources Manual review;

      • o

        Identify other policies and procedures that need updating;

      • o

        Work with managers to ensure that appropriate knowledge and support of HR policies

  • employee safety, welfare, wellness and health; and

      • o

        Maintain the overview of the Health Promotion budget;

      • o

        Coordinate a basic first aid course for employees;

  • employee services and coaching.

Conference Support AIDS 2012 (a key IAS event, a global conference to be held in Washington, D.C. in July 2012) and IAS 2013 to be held in Kuala Lumpur.

  • Support the Local Office with all HR related needs

  • Coordinate with Conference Director and Finance to ensure all payroll and

social security systems are in place for local employees.

Organizational Development

  • Support the ED in the smooth integration of the new employment clusters;

  • Support, and where appropriate take ownership for, all HR related developments that are being implemented as part of IAS’ organizational development plan known as the OEP (Organizational Effectiveness Programme)

  • Coordinate monthly staff meetings;

  • Propose, facilitate and document adequate internal processes to facilitate information exchange and internal communication;

  • Assist in the identification, development and communication of internal policies and procedures, as needed.

Any other responsibilities as determined by the Executive Director.

The following skills and qualifications describe a well qualified candidate:

  • Knowledge of the international response to HIV/AIDS;

  • 6 years HR experience in a similar position spanning all aspects of human resources

  • You have thorough knowledge of the Swiss Social legislation

  • Strong written and oral communication skills;

  • The ability to influence and negotiate

  • Flexibility and adaptability

  • Consulting ability, specifically the ability to grasp and progressively advance the HR acumen of IAS managers and IAS as an organization

  • Project Management experience;

  • Excellent interpersonal and cross-cultural skills;

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

  • Fluency in English and French is a must

  • Familiarity with the NGO sector

  • Ability to build trusting relationships; coach, advise, mediate
