What if I have some previous education?
If you’ve completed post-secondary courses in business or accounting, you may be eligible for transfer credits for some CGA core courses. Check out the online self-assessment tool at www.accountantstocanada.org to see if you’re eligible to receive transfer credits for your prior education.
We’ll review your application and official transcripts to determine your entry point into the program. If you’ve already completed some business or accounting courses at the post-secondary level (either from a university in Canada or internationally), we may grant you transfer credits for one or more of the required core courses. If you already have a Canadian or international accounting designation, you’ll be able to enter the program with advanced standing.
