Heritage Alumni Luncheon

Noon – 2:00 p.m. Alumni graduating in 1960 or before are invited to a special luncheon celebration… bring photos and memories! This year we will be honoring Rosemarie Main- berger McBride ’60, 68 g and Karl and Roberta Budmen with the Heritage Award. The Heritage Award is given an- nually to honor alumni and faculty whose devotion to the ideals of the college serve as shining examples to the entire New Paltz College community. 2:00 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. Explore the latest developments on campus, including the new Student Union Building. Riding and walking tours will be made available.

Welcome Reception

3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. All alumni are invited to a reception with current and former faculty members.


English Reception/Happy Hour

5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Come hear your favorite faculty poets and relax with former professors and classmates. Complimentary refreshments and cash bar. Sponsored by the Alumni and Friends of the English Department.

School of Business Networking Social

5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. Complimentary Hors d’oeuvres.

Lantern Society Dinner

6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Join us as we induct the Class of 1960 and those from previous years who have not received a medallion into the Lantern Society. Casual business attire is appropri- ate. The Lantern Society consists of alumni who graduated New Paltz 50 or more years ago. The society was created to honor the tradition of the Lantern Ceremony. Lantern Night took place in conjunction with the Moving Up Day Ceremony on Campus, a tradition which began in 1929. All classes held a mass practice and sang their origi- nal humorous songs. The official day also included a symbolic Moving Up and Honors Convocation.
