The GIG Club have joined us as Corporate members and we expect to see them around making use of the club bar and galley while waiting for their turn to row, or after an exhausting session training. They will be very welcome. The GIG Club have asked to use the clubhouse as a venue on a Monday evening for their training, such as lectures on seamanship, radio use, first aid and nutrition. Sailing club members are very welcome to join in. The Clubs will review things as the season progresses to ensure arrangements are working well for both . You never know, we might end up with a few converts to sailing!
Our caterer Annabelle is working hard to provide the food we like in the Club and if we want her to stay we need to support her. It is much is much easier to make a success of her trial period if she has bigger numbers.
The Social programme is being worked on by Kaye Thompson and her team . The key early dates for your diary are on the front page and will be in the Club Programme in January.
Barry Mc Gibbon and Keith Thompson are in the process of giving the web site a new look and we plan to launch by Easter.
