Welcome to the first edition of alumni news in the inaugural edition of the UWCSEA newslet-
I am very pleased to have joined UWCSEA in the position of Director of Alumni Relations as of August 2006, and I look forward to continuing to work with our alumni community over the coming year.
The first term turned out to be a busy one! We received a tremendous response to our request for contact detail updates for our internal alumni records, and I thank you for that. We have since introduced a new password-protected alumni website (to which we had to ask you to resubmit your information – sorry!).
Registration is quick and easy, and once your alumni status has been verified, you have full access to the site. Some of the features include the ability to search for previous classmates that you may have lost contact with, update your personal profile online, stay up to date with College and alumni news and events, join groups, post photos, and participate in a member forum. In the coming months we will be adding more features, including a career centre. Please register now if you haven’t already done so! I hope you will find it a useful tool.
There are several reunions and get-togethers being planned in various locations this year. Be sure to check out the alumni website for details. There are also many College events and activities that those of you in Singapore may be interested in, which are noted in other sections of this newsletter and the main College website, as well as on the alumni site.
UWCSEA is very proud of its alumni. We have former students from the past 35 years, in all walks of life and in all regions of the world. In the following pages we profile two of them. We will be looking for suggestions for future alumni profiles, and would love to hear from you.
All the best for 2007! Please keep in touch.
