E.MAP Partners with Aflac to Serve Member Businesses and their Employees
Johnstown, PA - The Employers Medical Access Partnership (E.MAP), a business coalition serving employers in Cambria, Somerset, Bedford, Blair and Indiana counties, has entered into an agreement with Aflac to promote a host of voluntary insurance plans to its 750 member businesses. Known for the duck featured in its television commercials, Aflac products give their policyholders the opportunity to direct cash where it is needed most when a life-interrupting medical event causes financial challenges.
“We’re very excited to team up with Aflac,” said Jack Babich, president of the E.MAP Board of Directors. “Given the current state of the economy, Aflac’s insurance products have never been more valuable to employees and their families.”
Aflac offers businesses a wide range of insurance policies that can help their employees with health events—from accidents, to intensive care, to life insurance. Insurance products include short-term disability, cancer/specified-disease, accident, hospital confinement indemnity, and more. Through Aflac, E.MAP member businesses can let their employees apply for the kind of insurance policies they want at no direct cost for their companies.
The insurance giant was featured in Fortune Magazine’s March 2009 issue as number one on its list of the World’s Most Admired Companies in the Health and Life Insurance category. This marks the eighth time Aflac has appeared on Fortune's list of Most Admired Companies.
As the number one provider of guaranteed-renewable insurance in the United States and the number one insurance company in terms of individual insurance policies in force in Japan, Aflac insurance products provide protection to more than 40 million people worldwide. Aflac has been recognized by Ethisphere magazine as one of the World's Most Ethical Companies for two consecutive years and was also named by the Reputation Institute as the Most Respected Company in the Global Insurance Industry in 2008. In 2009 Fortune magazine recognized Aflac as one of the 100 Best Companies to Work For in America for the eleventh consecutive year. Aflac was also named by Forbes magazine as America's Best-Managed Company in the Insurance category. Aflac Incorporated is a Fortune 500 company listed on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol AFL. To find out more about Aflac, visit aflac.com.
