Surf and Sand Hunt 2008 Saturday, September 13, 10:00 a.m. Everybody head to the beach. And don’t forget your detector. Come to Alki Beach, adjacent to the volleyball courts. The first hunt will be at 10:30 but come early to hunt the beach. The second hunt will follow the first hunt. You don’t even have to bend over to find the targets. Just kick the sand aside. Weekend parking can be a problem, so give your- self some extra time. Lunch will be a potluck about noon time so bring your favorite dish to share. Ralph Shape will cook the hotdogs. The entry fee for each participant is a wrapped prize (suggested value $5). Non-members are welcome but we ask them to bring the $5 prize plus a $5 entry fee. After lunch it’s game time. Beach hunting is fun, and it’s a great place to practice your detecting skills. Mark the date on your calendar. Saturday, Sep- tember 13th at 10:00 a.m.
