The CCAS appraisal is based on an employee’s level of contribution

to the SAF/AQ mission and relates directly to established

expectations based on the 6 factors.  Additionally, the CCAS

appraisal cycle begins 1 October and ends 30 September.

Simply put, the 9-point rating factors address an employee’s

promotion potential outside Acq Demo and the CCAS appraisal

addresses an employee’s level of expected contribution to the

mission.

Employees not covered under Acq Demo will continue to use

the standard AF 860A (since Jun 00, overall rating of pass/

fail) and the 9-point rating factors for their annual performance

appraisal.
