We have already begun to take advantage of the flexibilities which

Acq Demo allows.  For instance, management may now choose how

they want to fill vacancies.  These choices can include candidates

provided through the career programs, central skills bank, or

merit promotion, just to name a few.  Career program positions

no longer must be filled strictly through the respective career

program office.  Additionally, with local classification authority,

our managers now have the flexibility to shift workload and re-

define vacant position requirements (and subsequently personnel

qualifications), based on the individual organization’s mission.

During the implementation phase of Acq Demo, we developed

generic Position Requirements Documents in order to facilitate

employee movement throughout SAF/AQ.  Internal    (cont.)
