Instructions for Chapter Test
No homework this weekend.
Go over correct answers and spelling for continents and oceans.
Have student clear their desks and get one page of notebook paper out for scrap paper. Remind students about doing their own work and not sharing answers.
Go over the directions for each section of the test carefully and answer questions if a student doesn’t understand.
(Some teachers allow notes to be used for part of the test. This is up to you to make this decision. It does encourage students to keep an organized notebook, but is a matter of choice.)
Use the rest of the period for this test. Call time with 5 minutes to spare so that all test can be collected carefully. Once again have students pass their test to the front and have student in front of row count to make sure all test for the row are accounted for.
The Easy Planner (software) that accompanies this textbook has three versions of a test for this chapter. You can one use these or create a test of your own.
Straighten up room and wish students a good weekend.
It is hoped that these lesson plans have given you a good start using this text and a variety of resources. Because these are the lesson for the first 10 days the pace was relatively slow. Now it the time for you to locate your Task Analyses for Global Studies and use it to guide the pacing. You will find that sections of information in the book have been skipped and that this course stress human and cultural geography more than physical.
