  1703 Sandman Street at the Laredo International Airport.  Lease term is for

  one (1) year commencing on May 1, 2009 and ending on April 30, 2010,

  and may be extended for one (1) year ending on April 30, 2011.  However,

  it is agreed by the parties that the lease may be terminated by either party

  upon giving a ninety (90) day written notice from the party terminating to

  the other.  Monthly rent shall be $550.00 and will be adjusted annually

  according to changes in the Consumer Price Index; providing for an

  effective date.

                2009-O-104  Authorizing the City Manager to execute a Foreign-Trade Zone Operations

  Agreement with United States Bonded and FTZ Warehouse, LLC. as zone

  site operator of site No. 3-A located at 14602 Archer Drive, effective June

  1, 2009, and ending on September 30, 2009.  Providing for activation,

  administration and transaction fees to be paid to the City; providing for an

  effective date.

9.  2009-R-058  A resolution of the City of Laredo supporting the County of Webb’s desire

to pursue the creation of a Regional Mobility Authority (RMA) to address the implementation of critical mobility improvements in Webb County and the City of Laredo.

10.  2009-R-062  Authorizing the City Manager to submit a grant application in the amount

of $139,813.00 to the Office of Justice Programs, Bureau of Justice Assistance for funding the 2009 JAG or Justice Assistance Grant for the period of October 01, 2008 through September 30, 2012. This funding will be used for equipment and supplies for police operations.  The Bureau of Justice Assistance mandates that this grant be divided equally between the City of Laredo and Webb County. (Approved by Operations & Finance Committees)
