  • EVO central lubrication system An EVO central lubricating bar is now incorporated in the robot this is readily accessible and all lubri- cating nipples on the chassis can therefore easily be reached Regular lubrication of the robot’s ball bearings reduces the energy consumption of the ro- tor spinning machine as a whole

Robot upgrading procedure The upgrade can be performed in two ways

  • 1.

Rieter supplies a robot which has undergone a to- tal overhaul and receives the customer’s robot in exchange

  • 2.

The customer sends in the robot Rieter upgrades it and returns the same robot to the customer

  • ROB rotor control system More precise control of the rotor speed by the ro- tor control system during piecing results in great- er operating and functional reliability and reduced wear

Quality service and Rieter’s technical expertise An optimal overhaul includes not only a robot up- grade It is also advisable to ensure production and yarn quality with our service package for the rotor spinning machine A situation analysis of the rotor spinning machine by a Rieter specialist before up- grading the robot is advisable in order to preclude faults caused by the machine

Comprehensive overhaul During the overhaul the robot’s mechanical compo- nents are completely dismantled Each single com- ponent is examined in respect of its operation and condition and replaced by a new part if necessary All mechanical components are adjusted All elec- tronic modules are checked The robot is repainted

The robot’s electronic and mechanical settings are then adjusted and it is then tested on a test rotor spinning machine The robot undergoes a -hour endurance test after overhaul Only when this test is completed successfully does the robot leave Rieter’s assembly premises after its total overhaul

The customer can leave the coordination of trans- port and assembly of the overhauled robot to Rieter Qualified service technicians take care of the instal- lation of the robots worldwide

A worthwhile investment A robot upgrade is a manageable investment that pays off in terms of piecing quality and higher robot efficiency A similar upgrade package is available for the R rotor spinning machine Please contact Rieter Parts for information about these upgrade packages
