SUNRISE DIAMONDS PLC
Sunrise Diamonds plc was formed to explore for diamonds in the Karelian Craton in Finland, a geological block that is host to a number of world class diamondiferous kimberlites in the Arkhangelsk region of neighbouring Russia.
In Finland the Company is evaluating a number of diamondiferous kimberlites and has the right to exploit BHP Billiton’s valuable diamond exploration database for Finland.
The Company’s diamond search was extended in 2009 to include an area near Cue in the Yilgarn Craton of Western Australia, where diamondiferous kimberlites have already been found, and where additional diamond targets have been identified alongside targets for platinum group metals and gold.
The Company is seeking to diversify its commodity interests and has recently acquired an exploration licence at Derryginagh in Ireland for the industrial mineral barite for use in high-value industrial filler markets.
Our aim is to create wealth for our stakeholders through the cost-effective discovery and development of mineral resources.
