space in which to roam and the family has more space when they get the urge to saddle up and go for a ride. “We also enjoy fish fries and just spending time [with family and neighbors].”

As self-proclaimed “outdoor lovers,” the Stryboschs have spent a considerable amount of time out back, recreating the summer camp feel they wanted to replicate. The three huge oak trees,

which date back 100 years, are what first drew Christy this direction. Now they offer the shade needed for long, leisurely afternoons in the backyard. The family is anxiously looking forward to the warmer days of summer so they can spend time in the pool, designed and built at the end of last year’s season to look as if it came directly out of the Texas Hill Country. “The slide is for

the kids,” Andrew said, “and the cabana offers a place where the adults can go to relax.”

Andrew owns and operates his own business, while Christy will soon be completing her 15th year as a special education teacher. To say they live a busy life would be a true statement, but to say they stop working once they get home would be an untruth. Since
