Reading : General
Read anything according to your interest. However, buying new books and magazines can be expensive.
Here are a few alternatives to save money:
Join a Library if nearby ,(most obvious)
Start a book exchange club, where you exchange read books, so
you do not have to buy books all the time.
If no such facility exists, the local Raddiwala is a good option to buy old books and periodicals at a fraction of price, and resell them again. I have bought 1 year old Reader’s Digest for 5 Rs. instead of 40. Paperbacks are also available much cheaper.
What to Read
Reading anything is better than to read nothing. You do not have to apologize for your interests or habits.
Magazines are good for general all round awareness.
If can’t abide full books, read Comics ! They are good for keeping you entertained. Dilbert, Asterix, Calvin and Hobbs, Garfield, Archie, Tintin, are my personal favorites . Guaranteed to lift your mood.
Go for variety. Mix light with heavy reading. Favorite subjects with unknown ones.
