PROGRAM DESCRIPTION Free mediation service for disputes involving consumer issues such as landlord tenant disputes, service complaints, warranty issues, merchandise complaints, and other types of consumer concerns. Free information and assistance with small claims court forms, procedures, court preparation, and judgment collection. Provides assistance in restraining orders, emergency cell phones, victims of crime, and safety planning. Provides adult and juvenile probation field supervision services.

Minimum-security jail provides court-ordered confinement while maintaining employment or school attendance in the community. The Alternative Action Program operates a drug treatment program.

Individuals who represent a low risk to public safety and who are sentenced to 30 days or less in the county jail may be eligible for the Work Release Program. The program provides rigorous and strenuous manual labor as an alternative to confinement. Alternative sentencing program for homeless to resolve outstanding minor offenses and warrants through community service.
