PROGRAM DESCRIPTION Provides social skills, recreation, and training

for the developmentally disabled, community based supportive services.

Diagnostic, case management, support, and services for children and adults living with developmental disabilities.

Employment assistance for the physically, mentally, and emotionally disabled. Provides vocational counseling, job training services, and placement assistance. Investigates reports of elder or dependent adult abuse or neglect, including self-neglect. Based on an assessment of their findings, staff develops a plan to preserve the rights, interest, safety, and welfare of the elderly or disabled adult client.

In-Home Support Services provides domestic chores and non-medical personal care to low- income, MediCal eligible, aged, blind, or disabled persons in their homes. To be eligible for services, persons must be receiving SSI/SSD benefits or meet the program’s financial need requirement. Manages final arrangements for indigent residents of Ventura County and for those who have no family to make such arrangements. Also manages the estates of deceased Ventura County residents who have no other administrator available.
