Free legal assistance for seniors 60+ with government benefits, long-term care issues, consumer matters, power of attorney, and end of life concerns. Addresses housing discrimination through education, advocacy, and enforcement. Services are free and include: landlord/tenant counseling, predatory lending information and referrals, housing discrimination investigation, advocacy outreach and education. Staff can assist clients in seven languages. Provides a free legal clinic monthly in Ventura. Attorneys volunteer their time. In addition, referrals are provided for free legal service throughout the county. Assists in settling disputes out of court. Provides free mediation, conciliation and arbitration services to low-income clients to resolve landlord/tenant, neighbor, employer, small claims, consumer, family/domestic, and other disputes.
