You are invited to attend an informative presentation about planning for your child’s future and financial security! On Wednesday, May 16th, Down Syndrome Association of San Diego will presentspecial needs trusts - Planning for the Future” at 7:00 pm at the Children's Hospital Medical Office Building, 3030 Children's Way, Room 113, San Diego, 92123. The presentation will be given by Carol Battaglia, attorney at law, and member of Special Needs Alliance. She will be available to answer your questions after the presentation.

Since many IEP’s are scheduled for this time of year, we thought you may be interested in some very good trainings that are offered by the San Diego County Learning Disabilities Association. On Wednesday, May 9th they will present their informative IEP GOALS workshop in the evening in Clairemont. The $20 fee includes materials. Their School Problems workshop will be held on May 16 & May 23 in the

morning. The goal of this workshop is to assist parents in navigating the

Special Education system and securing the most appropriate services and

On June 26th they will offer "NOT REALLY A BAD KID"  workshop in the evening from 6:00-8:00pm. This workshop focuses on supporting kids with behavior issues. For details, go to
