St. Lawrence District Annual Social Justice Conference October 30, 2010, 9:00 am 4:00 pm Spinning the Interdependent Web: Eco-Justice and Unitarian Universalism at May Memorial Unitarian Universalist Society

This year the SLD Social Justice Council is partnering with the UU Ministry for Earth to explore the intersection between UU’s traditional social activism to achieve a more just society and the Green Sanctuary movement’s efforts to ameliorate our ecological impact on our Earth home. It has become increasingly evident that threats to the environment are threats to the principles of justice and compassion that form the very basis of our core values. Four workshops will focus on examples of the convergence between the objectives of Social Justice and Ministry for Earth.
