5. How will I be reimbursed?
Your Health Net contracted rates in the Northeast will continue to apply to your patients who are Health Net members in the Northeast until they renew or transition into a UnitedHealthcare, Oxford, AmeriChoice or SecureHorizons benefit plan, or to another carrier. This is similar to any group who renews with a new carrier where your reimbursement will correspond to that of the carrier who is insuring the member. Providers should continue to submit claims for Health Net members to Health Net. Claims will continue to be processed in accordance with Health Net policy and providers’ Health Net contracted rates.
UnitedHealthcare and Health Net are working together so that members and health care professionals have full continuity of their coverage or payments during the time that the Health Net benefit plans remain in force under existing Health Net contracts.
6. Are my Health Net patients still covered by Health Net? Should I still submit claims to Health Net?
Your Health Net patients in the Northeast (commercial, Medicare and Medicaid), until they renew with UnitedHealthcare or another carrier, will continue to be covered under the terms of their existing Health Net plan, subject to continued eligibility under such Health Net plans. You will have full continuity of payments during the time that the Health Net benefit policies remain in force under existing Health Net contracts.
Commercial: As Health Net Northeast’s commercial customers reach their renewal dates, UnitedHealthcare will work to enroll these customers in a comparable Oxford or UnitedHealthcare plan.
