Dear Friends,

Inspiring commitment for better health care! This vision is the driving force behind each and every thing we do at Presbyterian Healthcare Foundation. With this vision guiding us, and with the help of our many community friends, we made significant progress during 2004 in providing the Presbyterian hospitals the assistance necessary to achieve the “margin of excellence” to better serve patients and communities.

The generosity of our trustees, leadership, staff, grateful patients, foundations and corporations generated record levels of financial and volunteer support. This support helped provide for leading-edge technology, expansion and renovation of facilities, continuing medical education, medical research and community outreach efforts.

In 2004, I was especially impressed with the overwhelming support shown by employees and physicians on the medical staffs for the capital campaigns at the Allen and Plano hospitals. A dramatic increase in the membership of Presbyterian Healthcare Foundation’s Covenant Society, including the establishment of a new Covenant Society chapter at Presbyterian Hospital of Kaufman, helps to secure a successful future for Presbyterian Healthcare System.

We are grateful to all of you for your inspiration and dedication and we look forward to another rewarding year in 2005.

Sincerely,

Ben Casey
