New Jersey Post
HELP US SUPPORT THE TROOPS Bring items to Community Center on 15 April 2010
SAME NJ Post has undertaken an effort to send care packages of frequently-requested items to enlisted, commissioned, and reserve troops presently serving in units stationed in Afghanistan, Iraq and Guantanamo Bay. Last year 1,802 lbs. of items were donated during the program and delivered successfully. We prepared and shipped more than 90 boxes averaging 20lbs. each!
Our goal is to send shipments to multiple destinations immediately after our program. Please join me in collecting items from the list below and bringing them to the event. We will have volunteers to assist you with your donations. Items will be collected at registration.
We also forward letters of encouragement written to the troops. This is a perfect project for children in your local schools and religious centers and brings heartfelt support to those serving us.
