Fig . 3 .8 - jOrgan Completing Window

Fig. 3.8, the jOrgan Ready Window, tells you that jOrgan is installed and allows you to start the jOrgan application. An enticing prospect, to be sure, but you will discover when you click “Finish”and allow jOrgan to start up that you do not yet have something that looks like an organ. Go ahead and click “Finish” anyway.

When jOrgan starts up you will see the initial window of Fig. 3.9.

Fig . 3 .9 - jOrgan Start Up Window

Fig. 3.9, the jOrgan Start Up Window, is a thrilling sight, but as you can see the Cavaillé-Coll 1.6 Synthesis No.1 Organ of Fig. 3.1 is not visible yet. e reason is that you have the jOrgan engine but you are still missing the “disposition” les that dene for jOrgan the particular musical instrument you want to play. So now let’s download the disposition les for the jOrgan in Fig. 3.1.

Note: if you are comfortable with having more than one application running at a time on your computer you can leave the jOrgan window and come back to it when you have downloaded the Cavaillé-Coll 1.6 Organ disposition. Otherwise go ahead and close the jOrgan start up window then restart the jOrgan program after you have downloaded the Cavaillé-Coll 1.6 Organ disposition.
