Step One - Identify the Same MIDI-USB Device With All Keyboards and Pedalboard
Open the Customize Keyboards Window as before, Fig. 5.2 (in the File menu select Customize). In this example you have only one MIDI-to-USB device and you will be sharing it with all your keyboards, so you can go ahead as before and select that device’s name in the Device Drop Down panel for each keyboard and the pedalboard. Select your MIDI device’s name in lieu of jOrganKeyboard in Fig. 5.2. Next come the interesting parts.

Step Two - Identify a Unique Channel for Each Keyboard and Pedalboard
Approach A—e trial-and-error way to do it. When you originally connected your keyboards and pedalboard to your MIDI-to-USB device you had to assign channel numbers to the keyboards and pedalboard. Use the Customize Keyboards Window of Fig. 5.2 and enter those channel numbers in the appropriate “Channel” parameter space for each of your manuals and your pedalboard. In my case I thought I had assigned my keyboard/pedalboard channels with this numeric correspondence: 1 - Great 2 - Accomp 3 - Solo 4 - Pedal
