Recording a jOrgan Performance sing the Recorder Element—is section describes the steps in the jOrgan recording process courtesy of Paul Stratman. Note that these gures show a jOrgan disposition that is in normal (not full screen) mode; if you happen to be in full screen mode you can return to “normal” mode (which shows tabbed panels such as Recorder, Keyboard, Memory, Problems and Messages) by pressing F11 or by right-click “close.”

If the Recorder pane is not visible, select the menu View>Recorder. e Recorder pane will then be visible. See Figure 8.1.

In the recorder panel click the reject button, which is circled in red in Figure 8.1. An “Open/Create Performance” directory window will appear, see Figure 8.2. Type the name of the piece you wish to create; in Paul’s example he has typed “TrumpetVoluntary.” en press the “Open” button. jOrgan will create a MIDI le named TrumpetVoluntary.. mid. Side note—this window will also allow you to browse for pre-existing MIDI les.
