In 2008 we reflected on thoughts of a Royal Ranger being “CLEAN”.  The second point in our code.  Our guest, Presbyter Rev. Randy Eliason,  spoke to us with thoughts from God’s word  John 15:1-17.  We left the POW WOW, READY to Reach, Teach and Keep others for Christ.  Please join us in 2009; you will be glad you did.

In 2009 our Scripture verse Proverbs 11:5   “The godly are directed by honesty…” and our guest speaker; Evangelist Tim Bennett reminded us that a Royal Ranger is to be “HONEST” that we do not lie cheat or steal.   As he brought God’s word of salvation to us Pastor Tim also challenged us to be men and boys of integrity.

In 2010 we will consider the fourth point of the Ranger Code “COURAGEOUS” lets’ pray together that the Lord will challenge our hearts so that we might serve him better.

Pow Wow Patch Design for the 2012 NY District Royal Rangers Pow Wow:  Using copies of the enclosed form, boys will bring their design to headquarters on Saturday.  (Draw a colorful Patch. It will be judged during the District’s Training Summit in April.  The theme for 2012 will be “COURTEOUShe is polite kind and thoughtful.

Colossians 4:6 NIV Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone.”

In 2011 we are planning a few activities that will require Outpost

meeting preparation.   We hope that your outpost will get involved.

We will be having our annual District Pow Wow Pine Car Derby. All the boys should be involved in this exciting event.  Have the boys in your Outpost make and bring a Pine Car.  We will have races for speed and a judging competition for the best looking cars. Clearly print the boy’s name, age group, and Outpost # on the car bottom.

Another exciting activity will be the Ride-on, “Go Kit” Car.  The plans for building these cars can be found on the following web site http://www.gokit.com/ . This activity will really get the boys attention.

Best in Camp:  If you are to teach good camping skills, this competition is a must.   Have the boys work on your campsite projects in your outpost meetings.  Bring these projects to camp and have the boys set them up.  This will give you great Outpost meeting features through-out the year and an opportunity to win a trophy at Pow Wow.   Read the Best of Camp portion of this packet for details.  Set up begins after the noon hour on Thursday July 17.  Set up procedures will be strictly enforced.

All of the activities we are hoping to have are listed on the next page.   A schedule of events is enclosed. Keep in mind that it may change.  Check the New York District website and click on Pow Wow to obtain frequent up-dates.    The camp will open on
