Wellesley College Web of Species http://www.wellesley.edu/Activities/homepage/web/ Includes lots of information about insects for older kids, including how to tell the temperature by counting the chirps of a cricket: count the number of times a cricket chirps in 15 seconds and add 40 to the number.

Yucky Roach World http://yucky.kids.discovery.com/flash/roaches/index.html Fun and games about roaches. Older kids.
